– PRESS RELEASE –

AGREEMENT BETWEEN ANCI VENETO, ANCI SA AND REGALGRID EUROPE SRL FOR PILOT PROJECTS OF ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF ENERGY COMMUNITIES.

Anci Veneto and Regalgrid Europe S.r.l. have signed an agreement for a project that focuses on environmental sustainability and green economy. A project designed to promote the creation of Energy Communities, with the aim of extending the use of energy efficiency to the public sector. In fact, the common goal is to spread and encourage the self-consumption, individual but above all collective, of energy produced from renewable sources through the establishment of municipal Energy Communities.

Innovative partner and Technology Provider of the collaboration with ANCI Veneto is Regalgrid Europe S.r.l., an entrepreneurial reality from Treviso, born with the aim of developing a sustainable and advanced system of renewable energy management. In particular, Regalgrid Europe deals with Energy Communities, sets of users, who can be producers, accumulators and consumers of renewable energy or a combination of the cases, who decide to make common choices to meet their energy needs, in order to maximize the benefits derived from this digital approach. They are therefore users who join together to make energy sharing, thus reducing energy waste and self-powering each other, each according to their own energy needs.

The parties have defined a collaboration framework agreement that specifically provides for the support of municipalities by Regalgrid Europe in the process of establishing their respective Energy Communities. This accompaniment has already faced a first phase, in which Anci Veneto identified the municipalities with which to develop projects for Energy Communities. In this first phase, the first nine municipalities in which this pilot project will be launched have been determined: Treviso and Preganziol in the province of Treviso, Meolo in the province of Venice, Granze in the province of Padua, Polesella in the province of Rovigo, Feltre and Valle di Cadore in the province of Belluno, Valeggio sul Mincio in the province of Verona and Bassano del Grappa in the province of Vicenza. The administrations will thus become reference models for identifying the most advantageous methods and processes and truly demonstrating the effectiveness of this practice.

In the second phase Regalgrid Europe will develop the feasibility study of individual municipal energy communities. For each community will be studied the configuration and the communication between the different energy assets existing or to be installed in the future, with the buildings and the housing and/or working entities present in the surroundings, in order to optimize and design in the best way the structure of the energy communities.

A third phase will also be foreseen, in which Regalgrid Europe and ANCI Veneto will give rise to training activities led by Regalgrid to guide municipalities and their local installers in understanding the mechanisms for the actual establishment of the Energy Community.

This pilot project confirms Anci Veneto’s desire to invest in the energy sector and in environmental sustainability, promoting a culture of clean energy and energy saving among its member municipalities.

Davide Spotti, President and Co-Founder of Regalgrid Europe states that “We are excited to participate in this initiative as an innovative partner and promoter. Being able to raise awareness and really create Energy Communities within the territorial fabric from which we are born is for us a source of pride and great responsibility. We are sure that the creation of these smart energy clusters will be an example for other Italian realities and a feather in the cap of the energy and R&D sector we come from, in perfect line with the European expectations and directives announced in December 2018.”
